Short answer
Booqable is general rental software — equipment, bikes, boats — and it is cheap to start at $29 a month.
For a vehicle rental business two things change the maths: e-signatures begin on the Grow plan at $87, and check-in and check-out are described through barcode and QR scanning rather than a photo handover. Renviq is vehicle-specific: signed agreements and photo inspections are on every paid plan at €49.

We sell rental software, so read this as you would any vendor's comparison. Every figure came off Booqable's own pricing page on 4 October 2026, and the sources are at the foot of the page.
The entry price is not the price you will pay
Booqable's published plans are Start, Grow and Scale at 35, 87 and 187 a month, or 29, 69 and 149 billed yearly, with a higher tier at 349. The add-ons stack on top: the rental website builder at 19 a month, mobile point of sale at 9 per user a month, and extra locations from 29 each a month.
E-signatures begin on Grow. That one line decides the comparison for anyone renting a vehicle, because a rental contract that is not signed is not a rental contract. So the real entry point for a vehicle rental business is Booqable Grow at 87 a month, not Start at 35 — and Grow is where you should put Renviq's €49 Starter next to it, not Start.
A note on the currency, because it confuses people. Booqable's own page says the product starts from $29 per month, and the symbol is filled in by your location when the page loads. From inside the EU it renders the same figures with a euro sign. The numbers do not change — a European buyer pays €29 where an American pays $29.
| Entry plan | Signed contracts | Extra location | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Booqable | 29–35 | from 69–87 (Grow) | from 29 each |
| Renviq | €49 | included at €49 | included |
Booqable is general rental software, and it shows at the counter
This is the real difference, not the price. Booqable is built for things you count: equipment, bikes, gear, with unlimited inventory and orders and no booking commission. Its check-in and check-out are described through barcode and QR scanning — the right design for a shelf of kit going out and coming back.
A vehicle does not come back the way a tent does. It comes back with a scratch that was not there, half a tank, 340 more kilometres and a renter who remembers the scratch differently. What settles that is a photo record taken at pickup and again at drop-off, with the damage marked on the vehicle, the fuel and the odometer written down, and the customer's signature on both. Booqable does not publish that; it is the whole of what Renviq's inspections do.
How do the two compare?
| Renviq | Booqable |
|---|---|
| Built for cars, motorbikes and boats only | General rental: equipment, bikes, boats, vehicles |
| Dual-signer agreements with a PDF audit trail on every paid plan | E-signatures from Grow upward |
| Pickup and drop-off photo inspections, damage on the vehicle, fuel and odometer | Check-in and check-out by barcode and QR |
| Deposit held on your own Stripe account, re-authorised every seven days, captured in part | Refundable deposits calculated automatically; saved cards charged or authorised |
| Unlimited locations on every paid plan | Extra locations from 29 each a month |
| No native app | Native iOS and Android apps |
| Stripe only | Stripe, PayPal, Square, Adyen, Mercado Pago, Teya, Mollie |
| Veri*Factu, SES.HOSPEDAJES, Ca.R.G.O.S., FatturaPA | Not published |
When is Booqable the better choice?
- Vehicles are only part of what you hire out. If the same counter rents paddleboards, camping gear and a van, Booqable handles all of it and we handle one third of it.
- You need a native app for staff. We have none.
- Your customers pay through something that is not Stripe. Their provider list is much wider than ours.
- You hire out high-volume countable stock where a barcode scan at the door is exactly the right workflow.
When is Renviq the better answer?
- Every rental you do ends in a signed contract. Agreements are on every paid plan, signed by both sides, with the signature, timestamp and IP in the PDF.
- Disputes about damage are part of your week. Photo inspections at pickup and drop-off, damage marked on the vehicle, fuel and odometer, signed by the renter — that is evidence, not a note in a field.
- You want one price with nothing bolted on. Every paid edition carries every feature; €49, €99 and €199 differ only in how many vehicles and users they hold, and extra locations cost nothing. Free is an evaluation tier: it sends no email notifications and has a smaller document-scan quota.
- You rent in Spain or Italy. Veri*Factu records for the AEAT, the SES.HOSPEDAJES renter report, Ca.R.G.O.S. contracts and FatturaPA XML are built from the booking.
Our limits, met here rather than in month two: no native app, Stripe only, three users on the entry plan, no equipment rental, and no public reviews yet.
How do you move across?
- Export products and customers as CSV. Booqable's "products" become vehicles; expect to fill in what a vehicle needs and an item does not — plate, VIN, categories, insurance and inspection expiry dates.
- Rebuild the price list. Duration tiers and seasons are modelled differently; re-derive them rather than copying the numbers.
- Run both through one changeover, then close the old account once the last contract signed in it has expired.
