Operations

Car rental setups Renviq runs

Daily city rental with km cap and overageIncluded kilometres per day; any overage settles automatically as an invoice line on dropoff.
Long-term lease with monthly invoicesDaily bookings of 30+ days switch to monthly recurring invoices; first and last month are pro-rated to days.
Airport pickup with a delivery feeA delivery fee is a configurable line item category — set it per booking and it appears on the invoice.
Weekend uplift inside a seasonA season rule can be limited to specific weekdays — lift Sat–Sun without leaving the period.
Unlimited-kilometres package on a single vehicleVehicles and tariffs both carry an unlimited-usage flag — set it once and the km cap stops applying for that car.
Insurance and extras at handoverInsurance, child seat, extra driver and similar add-ons are extras that fold into the invoice as line items.

What a car rental operator actually runs

Driver checks

Licence and ID scanned at handover, fields prefilled on the renter form

OCR pulls licence number, expiry and categories from the scan and prefills the renter form — the operator reviews and saves.

Pricing

Daily rates with included kilometres and per-km overage

Overage is settled on return as an invoice line — the operator never reconciles by hand.

Handover

Fuel level, odometer and damage photos in one phone flow

Each photo can be flagged for damage; the agreement mirrors the same evidence the operator captured.

Agreement

Two-party signature on the phone, PDF filed with the booking

Operator signs first, the renter signs second. Both get a copy and the PDF stays with the booking.

Everything is included in every plan

Free and Max ship the exact same product. The only difference is capacity.

Questions

Car rental software FAQ

Can I set per-day rates with mileage limits?

Yes. Daily rates, km caps and per-km overage fees are first-class — no workarounds.

Are signed PDF agreements included?

Every booking generates a two-party agreement signed on the phone — operator first, then the renter — and the PDF is filed with the booking.

Do I have to pay more for handover and inspection tools?

No. Every plan is the full product. Plans differ only by fleet size, team size and bookings.

Do you support long-term monthly rental billing?

Yes. Daily bookings of 30+ days switch to a monthly recurring schedule; a daily cron emits the next month's invoice and the first and last month are pro-rated.

Can I sell an unlimited-kilometres package on a specific vehicle?

Yes. The unlimited-usage flag exists on both the vehicle and its tariff — toggle it on and the km cap stops applying to bookings of that car.

How are weekend rates configured?

Pricing has season rules with date ranges plus a weekday mask — define one season rule and lift only Sat–Sun inside it, no second rule needed.
