Customer portal FAQ
Does the customer need an account?
No. The portal opens from a secure link tied to one booking — there is no sign-up, no password and no app to install.
How long does the link work?
The link is scoped to a single booking and expires 30 days after the rental ends, so old links stop working on their own.
Is it secure?
Yes. Each link carries a long random token that grants access to that one booking only, and it can be revoked at any time.
Can the renter pay online?
Yes, if you take cards through your own Stripe account: the renter pays the outstanding balance by card from the portal and can save a card for the deposit and post-return charges. Without Stripe connected, the portal shows the balance and how to settle it with you.
